Terms & Conditions Conditions

1. Confirmation & Payment

  • Participation is confirmed upon receipt of full payment or a deposit under an agreed payment plan.
  • Full payment must be made within the specified deadline to secure your exhibition space.
  • All payments are final and non-refundable, except in cases of force majeure (e.g. natural disasters, public health emergencies, or government-imposed restrictions).

2. What’s Included

Each standard exhibitor package includes:

  • 3m x 3m/3m x 2m booth with branding fascia & signage
  • Two (2) exhibitor passes
  • Transaction desk, booth signage, lighting, and two chairs
  • Profile listing in the AMP event directory
  • Brand feature on AMP social media channels
  • Inclusion in the digital AMP catalogue
  • Access to the networking mixer
  • Access to readiness webinars and masterclasses

Please note: The package does not include travel, visa processing, accommodation, shipping of goods, or insurance. These are the sole responsibility of the exhibitor and must be arranged independently.

3. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations must be submitted in writing no later than 90 days before the event.
  • Refunds (if any) will be considered at the organisers’ discretion and may be subject to an administrative fee.

4. Behaviour & Code of Conduct

All exhibitors must maintain professional and respectful behaviour throughout the event. The following actions are strictly prohibited:

  • Aggressive solicitation, shouting, or disruptive conduct
  • Violence, threats, abuse, harassment, or discrimination of any kind
  • Distribution of unauthorised promotional materials
  • Display of materials or products outside assigned booth boundaries
  • Any conduct that disrupts the event experience for attendees or other exhibitors

Zero Tolerance Policy:
Violations may result in:

  • Immediate removal from the event without refund
  • Blacklisting from future events
  • Confiscation of unauthorised materials or devices
  • Legal action where applicable

5. Health, Safety & Venue Compliance

All exhibitors must:

  • Comply with venue, organiser, and emergency service safety regulations
  • Use only certified (PAT-tested) electrical equipment less than 12 months old
  • Ensure all materials used are fire-retardant
  • Keep walkways and emergency exits clear
  • Refrain from painting booth panels or modifying venue infrastructure

Exhibitors are liable for any damage caused to the venue, infrastructure, or equipment.

6. Booth Setup & Decoration

  • Booths must be installed and ready by the deadline set by the organiser
  • Use of the venue’s real walls, blocking exits, or unattended deliveries is prohibited
  • Exhibitors must provide their own hangers, accessories, or display fixtures unless otherwise included
  • Decoration must not obstruct or interfere with other booths or emergency access

7. Payment Systems & Sponsor Compliance

Where a bank or financial services provider is an official sponsor of African Marketplace, exhibitors may be required to:

  • Use only the designated sponsor POS machines for all on-site sales
  • Display sponsor branding or materials as provided
  • Participate in approved sponsor-related activities, onboarding, or promotions

Non-compliance may result in:

  • Suspension of trading or confiscation of unauthorised devices
  • No refund of participation fees
  • Permanent exclusion from future events
  • Additional penalties as determined by the organiser

Sponsors are vital to the success of AMP; all exhibitors must honour partnership terms when communicated.

8. Product Legitimacy & Ethical Trading

  • Only lawful, original goods and services may be exhibited
  • Exhibitors must hold legal rights to any designs, content, or intellectual property on display
  • The organiser reserves the right to remove counterfeit or infringing products without compensation
  • Exhibitors must adhere to fair trading and transparent pricing practices

9. Media & Marketing Consent

By participating in the event, exhibitors grant the organiser permission to photograph, film, and promote their presence in African Marketplace-related marketing materials, including social media, digital advertising, and printed collateral.

10. Security & Liability

  • General security will be provided, but exhibitors are responsible for their own belongings
  • The organiser is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to goods or personal items
  • Overnight storage is at the exhibitor’s own risk

11. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
Any disputes arising from this agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UAE courts.

12. Agreement

By confirming your booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these Terms & Conditions as set out by African Marketplace.
